Improving the gender balance within a Digital Customer Experience practice

Problem statement:

We were retained by a global consultancy to advise on how they could attract address the gender imbalance within their Digital Customer Experience practice.

Only 10% of the team were female and they had previously struggled to identify, attract and secure strong female talent

What we did:

Following a workshop with the client, we produced two comprehensive market maps identifying the female Digital Engagement Management talent within an agreed group of target companies; and the female Technical talent across a broad range of Consultancies, Technology Companies and Start-up to Scale-up’s.

In collaboration with the leadership team, we developed personalised messaging and designed a set of questions that would enable us to provide valuable insights into the perception of the client within the digital community; we then analysed the responses to understand why it was challenging to attract female technical talent.

We conducted comprehensive go to market activity and engaged with a large number of target candidates in the market

Outcomes:

Provided detailed insights into the perception of the client and in particular within the technical community, where brand recognition was low and there was a negative perception of consultancies.

Made a number of recommendations which would enable them to raise their brand profile and better engage with the technical community
